Best. Lady. Drag. Evah. As the song says- I was depending on Fancy and she came through. First of all the visuals were astounding and the camp was all about southern gothic realness. I was laughing from beginning to end as she told the story of a young girl who was turned out and then turned it out. Satisfying character work (not just schtick, although the schtick was tight y'all) and she can SANG. My only complaint- I wanted more. I can't wait to see how this piece develops because this is just the beginning. Don't play yourself- go see it.... full review

Fearless, funny and oh so fancy. Chris Farah elevates a po' girl's tale to a non-stop laugh fest. Utterly infectious and a twist on your typical solo show. Come on back now Fancy! ... full review

What a hilarious show!! For the record- I am not a country music fan. However, Reba's country anthem about a woman teaching her daughter how to survive in a "man's" world is not unknown to me. With that said- I probably wouldn't have chosen this show to be among my "I have got to see" shows at Fringe this year. However, my wife is a fan and this show went right on her radar. For once she was right (hope she doesn't see this) Chris Farah brings Fancy to life as her one woman show laughs us through the trial and tribulations of the young heroin. From infancy to full fledged hookerdom- Fancy is a force to be reckoned with. Told with fast wit, song, and with multiple characters, you witness hilarious moments that are almost too much to bea... full review

Bold, brazen, beautiful and funny to boot! Chris Farrah turns in a hilariously clever performance in this one-woman show depicting the life & trials of "Fancy" - a poor girl turned prostitute - based on the song "Fancy" as made famous by Reba McEntire. Using very little in the way of set/props, Farrah captivates the audience with her powerful voice, funny facial expressions and witty dialogue. The cast of characters she portrays ranges from dying woman to naive teenager to brothel madam and church-going lady. I was thankful for the added costume pieces used to help differentiate between characters as there wasn't much of a vocal change to distinguish them from one another. Even still, "FANCY" was a wildly fun tale that had us all la... full review

This was such a fun show. I'm glad I was able to catch it at Fringe. In her first Fringe show Chris Farah effortlessly takes on multiple characters. Her one woman show will keep you laughing for the full show. I can't wait to see where this piece goes as she develops the character of Fancy even more!... full review

Ms. Farah is riveting and could have carried a show twice as long. She's adorable. And Funny. I saw actual knee slapping in the audience. Loved it. So glad I went!... full review

Fancy is seriously campy and hilariously soulful. Farah's writing - and her performance as a hooker with a heart of gold, a voice of silver and balls of brass - threw me for a loop and kept me rapt in theatrical rapture for a solid hour. I promptly tried to tell everyone who would listen that this incredibly entertaining solo show is very, very much worth seeing. (When, in fact, I should have been telling them to see my show. That's how much I liked Fancy.) Do your ass a favor and see this show, because it'll be laughed half-off by the end of the hour.... full review
