My overall impression
Best. Lady. Drag. Evah. As the song says- I was depending on Fancy and she came through. First of all the visuals were astounding and the camp was all about southern gothic realness. I was laughing from beginning to end as she told the story of a young girl who was turned out and then turned it out. Satisfying character work (not just schtick, although the schtick was tight y’all) and she can SANG. My only complaint- I wanted more. I can’t wait to see how this piece develops because this is just the beginning. Don’t play yourself- go see it.
