My overall impression
If you want ninety minutes of sidesplitting shakespearean sendup, this is for you! The script is funny, loaded with more puns and wordplay than an evening with CarrotTop and George Carlin; the cast has more chops than a pork parade on St. Porky’s Day, plus comedy eye gouging. Did I say comedy eye gouging ?
Yes I did!! If you let yourself go and roll with this show (as the entire audience did the night I went) you’ll start laughing and honestly, won’t let up until your spleen bursts.
I am a veteran of many great comedy ventures in the Granddaddy of all fringe festivals, Edinburgh: this work equals the best I have seen. Sure, it’s fast, rough and loaded with fluids, but what good time in a dark room isn’t?
