One of the things we forget to do before we die (so I hear) is to tell the people in our lives how much we love them. Easy enough, I suppose. Few people aspire to ruminate on their expiration date. "If You're Watching This, I'm Dead." does precisely this. It's not as morbid or eerie as the title sounds, in fact, the play proves to be a wonderfully genuine comedy that parades everything from dark family secrets to life's unexpected foilbles for everyone to see. Lisa Cole writes and performs with such authenticity and humility that you don't know whether to laugh or cry with her. The hallmark of a good show is it's simplicity- story, action and catharsis. "IYWTID" is simple and endearing to watch. Lisa Cole takes us on a journey in remembering... full review

Lisa Cole's stage presence is so warm and energetic. And as the play progresses, it becomes clear that her self-described "perky" energy comes from a deep well of pain belied by her bubbly personality. This depth and heartbreak tumbles out in surprising - and surprisingly effective ways during "If You're Watching This, I'm Dead." Just when you think it's going in a funny direction, there's a sharp twist, a perfectly-placed word or phrase that sends you reeling. And just when it's the darkest, there she is again with an unexpected quip that keeps us - and herself - laughing through the pain. I loved following her story - though the video camera and television screen had me wondering where to look. Her stories drew my emotions so that I almos... full review

"If You're Watching This, I'm Dead" was a thought provoking show that I thoroughly enjoyed. I was instantly enamored with Lisa Cole's story line. The story itself was provocative in that it illustrated a colorfully, dark life journey. But it was Miss Cole that made it more than a story line. Her courageous interpretation of the story created a real connection and left me asking questions about my own life. ... full review

Definitely add this to your list of Must-See shows for this year's Fringe. The show is funny, poignant and a sweet look at handling situations in life no matter what curveballs are thrown at you. The hour-long show moves so quickly. I was actually left wanting more...which is a problem every artist should have. I hope to see this show developed even more because I think it has the potential for a full 90-minute set. KB... full review

"If You're Watching This, I'm dead" is definitely a must see show. Lisa's performance was engaging and funny. She described her life experiences in a way that almost made you feel like you were there. I loved how she described the characters in her life. I admire the way she handled each situation life threw at her and that made me realize she is a strong woman. No matter what obstacles she had in her life she would still persevere. I could definitely relate to her experiences. The story had a lot of twists and turns that made time fly and I was left wanting more.... full review

Wow. Quite a surprising show! When it starts you think you're going to get a cute and perky little story. And, while some of it was, most of it was just engrossing. This gal is very watchable and I really found myself wanting her to go on. My only complaint is that the show may be too short. She should tell stories for a living!... full review

Lisa Cole McClure was quirky, engaging, at times poignant, and always charming as she let us in on some of the most difficult and triumphant moments from her life. If half those stories and characters are actually true, she has had one heck of a life! I recommend the show highly for anyone who wants to spend a quick and fun :45 laughing, gasping, and shaking your head at life's unexpectedness.... full review
