Well written, poignant, funny, entertaining and superbly acted. Steve Mize, the all star Moth storyteller, takes us on a journey into fear, denial and truth - laughing all the way. This preview was my first Fringe show and it set the bar high. Can't wait to see it again once the tech is smoothed out. Congrats on being accepted to United Solo Festival!... full review

Seeing it the second time around allowed me to see the magic of the show being created - what was already a clean, polished piece of theatre, but taken to the next level - that place where only an audience can help you continue the journey of the show, and the confidence they instill in the actor. Steve was flying the second time around. ... full review

Steve Mize's Life, Audited was a great evening of theatre - learning of his trials with the IRS and what it ultimately led to him to discover about his own life, with such absolute charm and ease at moments, and the fear of what's to come and how we all react to such things, Life, Audited is from start to finish a compelling story expertly told. It flies by, and you find yourself on the edge of your seat as you experience someone standing up to the bully that is the IRS. Definitely a worthy project and a solid production.... full review

A friend said we should go see this one man play. I had never heard of Steve Mize, but the premise of a guy taking on the IRS sounded intriguing, if not downright maddening, so I went. The combination of a hot theater, (temperature-wise ) and a somewhat slow start had me questioning my decision to come to the show. And there was no way in this little theater to sneak out. So I'm thinking I'm stuck here for an hour. But, then, I start getting into the story. And I realize this guy Steve is a seriously good actor. Real good. And bam, I am hooked. Turned out to be a terrific one man show. I'm not giving anything away, but when Steve Mize realizes something about himself as he is talking to the IRS guy, it's a very powerful, very... full review

To me, the sign of a compelling play is the after-effect: The piece stays with you and stimulates thoughts and feelings long after the curtain. Steve Mize's Life Audited is a fine example of that. Well written, well acted and extremely honest. I saw it opening night and I imagine it's even more dialed in after several shows. Go see it!... full review

Transformation. Upheaval. Change. Hard things to face up to in life, harder still to bring to life on stage, hardest of all to make an audience feel that transformation themselves. Yesterday, that "catharsis" happened for me as an audience member at Steve Mize one man show "Life, Audited". By the end of his brilliant piece, there was the unmistakable wave of life in the air and tears in our eyes. When everyone is selling and everything is for sale what do we get to hold onto in this life? Go and see it. It's profound.... full review

I actually really liked it. I went to support Steve as a friend but would recommend this to anyone. it's funny and Steve is charming and very watchable. It's a workshop production so he's still figuring some things out, but it's a fun and touching journey to join him on. He's an adept storyteller for sure, and this one touches on much more than just the financial troubles of being an out of work (or even working) actor. ... full review

I really liked this show. Incredibly well written and acted. A great one-man show that that examines a life much more clearly than the IRS ever could. I highly recommend it. ... full review
