Watching Double Bind was like preparing a meal in a slow cooker. You add water and the various ingredients, then turn the heat on low so that the meal can cook slowly, holding in all the flavors of the ingredients until the meal slowly comes together. Lyons' captured all the nuances of the incredible script from Blake Shields Abramovitz (who also stars as Frank), as one by one the ingredients are added to the slow cooker. Adding to the mix were Clark Freeman as Sam and Ceri Bethan as Laura. Don't miss this show - it may be one of the best at the Fringe this year.... full review

GO SEE THIS SHOW! I think you have two more chances to do so. Great writing, great acting, great direction. These characters are fully realized people who are complicated and interesting. No one is clearly right or wrong, which makes for such good storytelling. I highly recommend this show.... full review

I must say in the past few months I have gone to see my fair share of plays and many have left me bored and wishing I could have that time back. This play left me wanting to see more and time just flew while watching it. It was an interesting topic and one that people can relate to. The actors are very talented and each did great carrying their part int the show. This is a go see play. ... full review

Double Bind is a wonderful, beautifully written piece about three very different people and their different lives. The three performers are very talented and take on the almost poetic writing with ease, making, us, the audience immediately believe the situation and surroundings. The twists and turns keep you fully entertained and yet it all takes place in one room, in a short space of time. It is credit to the writer, Blake for this working so well. He would not be out of his depth in a room with Mamet, Shepard or LaBute. It really is a elegant, enjoyable production giving everyone trying to "live their dream" food for thought. ... full review
