Los Angeles, CA – May 21, 2013 – 1140 Productions is excited to present Maria Irene Fornes’ “Mud”, a play in seventeen scenes, in the 2013 Hollywood Fringe Festival. This 50 minute-story is a visual play depicting life’s natural relationships in surreal situations. Mae, an uneducated woman who strives for knowledge, is trapped in a world that can neither be described as human nor animal. When Henry, an older gentleman, takes the role of her lover from Lloyd, her life long companion, she finds herself unable to break free from this dystopia. “Mud” revolves around these three characters who are rotting in their lack of virtue. It is a beautiful tragedy of the misunderstandings of life and death.
