There's something intrinsically charming about [tos] show within a show (within a show?) presentation - different than other meta-musical theatre works that have come before it. More heartfelt, more honest, this production highlights the beautiful highs and lows of a love affair with the theatre. Wonderful direction and a stellar cast. Not to be missed. ... full review

Just like that famous song from our youth, "this is how you do it." Corey Lynn Howe has directed a masterpiece that showcases the extremely talent cast in a show about the process of writing and staging a hit musical. I loved the inside references that most theater people will get. I especially loved the singing (go Heather Lake!), which is a good thing, since this is a musical. This show inspired me. It was the perfect ending to my hectic Friday. [Title of Show] has a very good chance at being named Best of Fringe! Check out my full review on Examiner.com.... full review

Last night, I had the pleasure of going to see Village Idiom Productions' collaboration with Theatre Unleashed's production of [title of show], and my friend Corey Lynn Howe's directorial debut. First things first: as close, personal friends with the Director, I'm so very happy for Corey in the sheer gritted-teeth willpower and determination to make something so amazing come to life, and to do it so well. If you know her, you know it's amazing to see her achieve something she so clearly loves and even more clearly excels at. But seriously, folks, about the show. [title of show] surprised the heck out of me with its (fast!) dialog and constant elbow-nudging hilarity. And I could go on all day about the "musical written by 2 guys about 2... full review

I was unfamiliar with this show but really loved the fast paced dialog & energy of this maximally talented cast! The challenging vocals, harmonies & arrangements were handled with ease. And the killer physical comedy of the women especially. It's a combination of a play within a play, breaking the 4th wall and rapid fire inside theater jokes coming at you pell mell! Don't blink, swallow or move a muscle! You may miss something! Just don't miss (title of show)... full review

As a writer of a festival musical, [Title of Show] struck a particular chord with me. I hadn't listened to the soundtrack since beginning my own "festival medley," and the opportunity to see it live and in front of me at Fringe turned out to be a complete delight. With sharp staging, sparkling performances and a bright, clipping pace, the director and cast of Theatre Unleashed/Village Idiom's production gave both airy lightness and thoughtful gravity to the piece. They even buoyed the flaws in the material. The scenes and songs that describe the production - as opposed to the development - of the musical-within-a-musical never hold my attention as much as the earlier scenes and songs do, but with a cast this winning and talented, and a sh... full review

The best show I've EVER seen at Fringe. The show itself is sort of an uneven, quirky little treasure about the artistic process, and also about friendship. This cast does it justice with their honest, committed performances and their amazing musicality (they all have awesome voices... maybe even better than the original cast recording). The show is a real team effort that takes a lot of honesty and heart to pull off, and these guys really rose to the occasion. I will definitely see this again before the festival closes... I feel like the artist inside of me got shaken around, slapped a bit, and then hugged at the end by my closest friends. Absolutely loved it.... full review

I love me a good musical. This production of [title of show] is not just good, it is GREAT. The acting, directing, musical accompaniment, and technical aspects of the show were perfectly seamed together. The end result is 90 minutes of rauchas fun. The whole cast, including the attention pulling piano player had me in stitches. Go see this show! ... full review

Saw the show today, 6/15, just have to say the show rocked! This cast works perfectly together! The songs are awesome, and the flow of the show keeps you at king attention the whole time, its 90 minutes of comedy, song, and a cast that truely makes you glad you bought a ticket! Bravo to all the cast, and the director, and to. all parties involved. Keep living your dreams!!! Russ (a buddy of travis(aka hunter)... full review

Went to 3 Fringe shows today in L.A. and this was definitely the favorite for me and my husband. Each of the 3 shows had good actors and singers (where applicable) but only this one had a real story with realistic dialogue, humor and heart. Go see it!... full review
