Am new to the Fringe Festival and am so glad I picked Michael's show as my first event. Extremely well written, acted and directed. So impressed...I was immersed in his narrative start to finish. I loved it.... full review

I highly recommend this show. It is by turns hilarious and touching. I couldn't stop thinking about it. Michael Kass is a truly gifted writer and performer. He doesn't simply tell you a story, he takes you on a journey. Don't miss your chance to see this!... full review

Michael takes you on a trip...literally. The insight into his search for himself put a magnifying glass on my own search. It's funny, honest and inspiring. Plus it has a great sound design that enhances Michael's storytelling. Go see it! ...I'm going to book my flight to Peru now.... full review

This is a MUST SEE show. Everything about it was beautiful. I want to thank everyone involved in this production, especially Mr. Kass for inviting me into this journey. From the very beginning up until the end I was drawn into this heartfelt, spiritual, motivational, occasionally comedic piece. There was not a single moment where I felt like I was beginning to think to myself (wander off), instead I was simply able to enjoy the art told through this passionate story that this man was giving to the audience. It was one of the best shows I've ever experienced and the standing ovation was much well deserved. Thank you for your beautiful work.... full review

I'm not one to write reviews, however- dot-dot-dot. Michael Kass walks on stage and with ease invites us into his journey of self discovery. He uses only a few buckets, some well timed lighting and sound cues and well executed impersonations that bring the other character's to life. There aren't many thing I loath in this world more than useless exhibitions of feelings and emotions, however, Michael under the careful direction of Miss Diana Wyenn delivers a non-pretentious, relatable, intimate story that stuck a chord on everyone of my heart strings, and a few brain strings too. I went with a friend of mine and we've known each other for the better part of a decade and the show inspired conversations in us that we'd never had. Thi... full review

Now, I don't love one man shows... They can never typically hold my attention. But I'll be damned if I wasn't drawn in by Michael Kass. He is a beautiful storyteller and throughout the entire performance I must've been leaning forward in my seat. His life is very relatable in the beginning which gets you to trust him and believe him so truthfully. Then he not only talks about going to South America on a soul searching trip, but he takes you there with him with no set and just a few buckets. Absolutely brilliant piece of work performed by an absolutely brilliant man. The slight lighting changes and music cues were just the icing on the cake. Must see.... full review

I love one-man shows because they involve so much dedication and presence by the performer on stage—Michael Kass delivers exactly that. His performance was honest and genuine, and I enjoyed the story of an average person overcoming his petty fears to become a better person. Ceremony is inspiring and relatable because of its message to anyone who thinks they don't have a higher purpose in life. ... full review

As Michael Kass put it himself at the end of his show "Holy Shit Balls!", this is a solo show that casually invites it's audience on a wild ride full of heart, space aliens, ex-girlfriends, and one awesome punch to the gut that makes you want to vomit... but that's a good thing. This incredible journey of self discovery is a polished solo show that blends the most basic elements of mime, set design, and creative soundscape to create a show that will have you on the edge of your seat, leaning in, hanging on Kass' every word. CEREMONY is a show that is not to be missed, and one that is extremely deserving of a great run. Take a bucket, you might need it :) Thanks for sharing your story Michael. ... full review

"Ceremony" is well delivered, honest and heartfelt . It's always exciting to see a show that's highly theatrical with lots of technical bells and whistles, but sometimes the most powerful experiences can be a group of people listening to someone onstage, simply tell a story. It felt like we as an audience were included on the journey and I left having a sense of community. ... full review

When I hear the words "solo show" I have to admit that some part of me feels like it shrivels up in fear. I associate these types of shows with whininess, self-aggrandizing types looking for agents, attention-seeking above all, doing anything but put on a show for other people. If Ceremony hadn't been about an interesting subject matter, I may not have seen it, which would really have been a mistake on my part. A big mistake. Michael Kass is, first and foremost, a very talented storyteller. Sure, he's got a few first-world problems, but his natural charm and self-deprecating humor wins you over from the start and even when he does something you already know, on some level, isn't going to turn out well, you're still rooting for everything to... full review
