My overall impression
Absolutely tremendous. Writer Josh Morrison’s script is funny, clever (in the good way), and, above all, beautifully smart; it sheds a winking light on what we as “theater folk” take seriously (or not), all boiling down to what actually affects us (or doesn’t) in our “real lives.” Please do not consider my overuse of quotation marks and parentheses as any indicator of the sincerity of the show; director Scott Marden does a phenomenal job of making every moment poignant, real, and relatable, and the cast does the same. Please take this vague review as an exercise in not spoiling the plot and as an urgent direction to GO NOW. One show left. See it. Such a satisfying show I had not seen in ages.
