This show -- with its sharp writing, fast pacing, and sense of camaraderie between performers -- makes you feel as though you're sitting in your living room, listening to your two funniest friends battle wits for your personal entertainment. Go see it, people.... full review

Laughed my butt off the whole time. Couldn't speak more highly of the chemistry between TJ and Mark. Really great show guys!... full review

One man show- A Duet introduces us to Tim. The guy we all know- but aren't especially quick to acknowledge. The story is hilariously portrayed by his "brain"- as embodied by these two terrific actors. But don't worry- if this is at all confusing- they spend several minutes explaining it to the audience with comical genius. And then take you on the ride of Tim's life. This show is a must see for anybody looking to laugh. Who else could make R.E.M.'s somber anthem "Everybody Hurts" make you cry all the while laughing your ass off. Loved this show and I highly recommend it. ... full review

A MUST SEE - great premise, cleverly written, superbly acted and enjoyable to watch. Never before have I seen so much life breathed into a bare stage. TJ Marchbank & Mark Jacobson are a talented duo full of range & energy. Everyone should check out this play and since all of their performances are "pay what you can", there is no reason not to.... full review

There's something great about walking into a show and knowing NOTHING about it - and that's exactly what I did. One Man Show: A Duet is a smart, snappy hour of theatre with quick wit and a great premise. The chemistry between TJ Marchbank and Mark Jacobson is flawless, and they're complemented nicely by a crudely thrown together, poorly timed (on purpose?) slide show - not to mention some great sound effects. Oxymoron Masterpiece Theatre throws together a simple, effective and heartwarming show that's sure to get you laughing and having a good time. Great Job guys, Thanks for sharing it with me! ... full review

It truly is wonderful to see a couple of actors having more fun than you ever thought possible onstage. It is also something special entirely when their entertainment comes through in absolute dedication to playing the two sides of a single brain. Combining beautiful irony, perfect harmony, and sidesplitting comedy, TJ and Mark brought what was a supremely creative idea to absolute fruition. Congratulations to the team on their brilliant show, and I cannot wait to tell more people all about it!... full review

Definitely a Fringe must. One Man Show: A Duet was an amazing piece of theater. I'm a sucker for comedies that are cleverly self-aware, so I was on board from the opening announcements. I was thoroughly taken along for the ride of the story and by the fun taking place in the whole theater. The script, performances, staging and details were all spot on, doing justice to weaving a compelling and hilarious story. I had a blast, and I suspect you will too. On a fun side note, the joy and hilarity I resonatned from the show followed me into my sleep and that night - I actually woke up from a dream laughing :) #themagicoftheater... full review

I saw One Man Show: A Duet on it's Preview Night and had an absolute blast! Mark and TJ really know how to put on a show and I was so thankful that I got to experience this hilarious show. I really recommend buying your tickets in advance though, the show I attended was completely sold out. TJ and Mark are extremely talented, quick, smart, hilarious and definitely know how to entertain! I promise you won't regret this one hour of Fringey awesomeness! ... full review

One Man Show: A Duet is a very funny idea well executed. Writers Joe DeSoto and TJ Marchbank have created a surreal world of right brain/left brain struggle that is so much fun to watch. The two halves (actors Mark Jacobson and TJ Marchbank) are perfect opposites and the complications that ensue are wonderful. Mark Jacobsen gives us the suit wearing, earnest side. He is trying to do his best, but he is thwarted at every turn by TJ Marchbank, who is laid back and just trying to get by. It is a joy ride from beginning to end. Joe DeSoto's direction is great. He creates a huge world in a very small space. He has the actors moving and dancing as they create the conflicted world of the One Man, in the title, who we only see in projecti... full review
