My overall impression

If there ever was a show at The Hollywood Fringe for dudes and bros, One Man Show: A Duet would be it! This hilarious and inventive new comedy by Joe DeSoto and TJ Marchbank is much in the style of Superbad or Knocked Up with all of its stoner humor. Mark Jacobson, who gave a scene stealing performance as the Left side of the brain (among other small roles), even reminded me a bit of Jonah Hill. While at times the script seemed to me a little at odds with the characters (e.g. The Right side behaving at times objective and analytical), the chemistry between Marchbank and Jacobson was divine! The audience participation and dance breaks made for a very entertaining night as well.
