My overall impression

A topic that many young adults go through in their life, "Let Me Out, was not only relatable, but very enjoyable. Though simple in sets, props and lighting, the words stood strong, bringing on the emotions of joy and anger. Laughs and tears. Arlene Tanner is a gem of an actress who brings comic relief, just when necessary to a subject matter that many find uncomfortable. If i had a criticism it would be to cut down the make-out scenes, which distract from other actions on stage and give off a very cheap feel. And one other thing…why not red solo cups? Orange and pink? I’ll be honest, a stage play would not be my first choice over a Broadway musical, but that has changed. The cast made me feel like the story was one of my own, and I left the theatre enlightened and with a smile. My friend and I who saw the play spoke the entire way home about how wonderful it was. Have a wonderful final performance for the Fringe Festival tomorrow, and hopefully I will have the chance to see this again down the road!
