NYC writer and storyteller Jacquetta Szathmari spins an autobiographical tale of a non-conformist black girl in rural Maryland who almost “gives up on black people”, discovers the Official Preppy Handbook, and flees to boarding school with dreams of being upper class and Jesus-free in Connecticut.
