being a half white/black person who has more than considered "giving up on black people"... i loved the show! what a talented writer, actress and human being! funny, cutting - but not offensive, and clear, i heard myself saying "yeah, girl"... a lot. my husband didn't even mind giving up what could have been the last game of the NBA season. can't wait to hear the twice married and divorced story! Thank you so much!... full review

Loved this show. Jacquetta had me in the palm of her hand the whole time. It felt like sitting around just telling stories. Only her story is a hilarious, eye-opener! Glad I didn't miss this one! ... full review

Now, I normally don't enjoy autobiographical one-person theare, but Jacquetta Szathmari has created an engaging and humorous tale of self-exploration that I was able to connect with, and I was very impressed. I'm so glad to have seen this show and to have gotten to know Jacquetta over the past few years through the Fringe Festival. She is an incredibly talented comedian and storyteller in the vein of Mark Twain and other social commentators, and her show is not to be missed. ... full review

Jacquetta is a very funny storyteller and her story is fascinating. her show also spoke to me on a personal level about feeling disenfranchised from a social group, but despite the seriousness of the subject matter, not once did i feel like she was self-pitying. instead it was an empowering piece that was fun to watch and really got me thinking. i definitely recommend this show to anybody and everybody. fun, easy, interesting and thoughtful (notice i didn't use the Oxford comma - never do <- little program joke there).... full review

Have you ever wished you could just sit down and be entertained, like you walk into a bar, order a drink you've been looking forward to savoring, and listen in on a master storyteller unfolding a tale that resonates with you, personally, while the entire audience feels somehow the same? Walking away, you feel optimistic, and, for once, with reason.... full review

Even though I'm an old white lady, I couldn't believe how much of my own past Jacquetta show brought back. A funny show, yes, and charming - but also brings up many questions and ideas worth anyone's contemplation. Thanks, Fringe!... full review
