My overall impression
Lemon Boots is a fun, beautiful, and sometimes even touching piece of physical theatre. The ensemble is strong and the images they create together are stunning. That being said, the piece wants for something. Whether it’s a storyline or simply a central theme to go off of, there is undeniably an element the piece lacks. The combination of the music and striking images is already delightful but with the addition of some sort of emotional connection, a character to care for, a storyline to follow or something similar, the piece could blow audiences away. As it is, Lemon Boots is pleasant to watch and worth seeing.
