Join us with our panel of Fringe Veterans as we discuss budgeting and fundraising for a Hollywood Fringe production. We will cover everything from what expenses to expect, how to make the most of your money, cost necessities, costs that add benefits but aren’t necessary, and, of course, how to raise money, crowdfunding, grants, and other funding opportunities.

This workshop is followed by a Q&A.

Panelist Bios:

Kelly Lynne D’Angelo is a Two-Spirit Tuscarora (Haudenosaunee) writer, performer, and activist who has done her fair share of storytelling in different mediums, including television, books, and stage musicals. Recent television credits include TBS’ Miracle Workers, Netflix’s Spirit Rangers, and Adult Swim’s Final Space. Two of of her musicals — The Count of Monte Cristo: The Musical and Les Millenniablés — premiered at Hollywood and Edinburgh Fringe to sold-out runs, with rave reviews. Starry, created beside her co-writer Matt Dahan, is set to run on London’s West End in 2024. Kelly is also a proud Selection Committee member for Outfest’s Screenwriter Lab as well as Mentor and Coach for Creative Lab Hawai’i’s Ideation Program for Indigenous Storytellers. @kellylynnedang

Riley Smith is a writer/comedian who has been working in Los Angeles for well over a decade. Last year, his sketch show BUGS! won best comedy at the Los Angeles Fringe Festival. He currently hosts the variety show “The Husky Whispers Show” and directs/performs with the improv team “J.T. McDougal.” His upcoming projects include the horror film “Bait,” the  sketch pilot “STANK SHOW” and the continuation of his fringe one man show “The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring: Extended Edition: Part 2.”
