THE FUXEDOS are America’s favorite surreally hilarious, theatrical punky storytelling art rock band, complete with costumes, props, and bizarrely humorous theatrics.

Members’ touring credits include such bands and acts as Les Claypool, Coheed & Cambria, and Cirque du Soleil. They’ve individually recorded or performed with everyone from Erykah Badu to Eric Clapton and from the Silversun Pickups to The Game, and have appeared not only on the Guitar Hero and Rock Band game series, but also on Hans Zimmer’s score to “The Dark Knight.”

Performances include appearances on Comedy Central and the legendary Dr. Demento’s recent web series, as well as live shows at such venues as LA’s Spaceland (where they held their sold-out CD release show).

“The Fuxedos are one of the most amazing, entertaining, enthralling, unique, hilarious and inspirational bands I have ever seen…[vocalist] Danny was a musical maniac onstage, donning masks, using crazy props, dancing up an astounding storm, singing dynamically, stomping, prancing, being riotously funny and crazed and mindblowing.”

— Paul Zollo, Sr. Editor, American Songwriter magazine; author, “Conversations with Tom Petty” and “Songwriters on Songwriting”

“They were STUNNING! Highest-class musicianship (think Frank Zappa band at its tightest) and insanely charismatic frontman Danny (and a great singer at that). I bought their CD and listened to it for several days in a row…they will blow ANY festival crowd away!”

— Vlad Oboronko (Manager, Huun Huur Tu)

FISH CIRCUS is LA’s premier genre-smashing, Art-core post-punk pre-metal fusion ensemble. Their musical quest to avoid definition is emboldened by the strength of their live performances — in terms of both musicality and mayhem. Equipped with an aggressive horn section (featuring trombone and French horn), and a robust rhythm section (including keys, bass, drums, and traditional Brazilian percussion), Fish Circus assaults its listeners with an engaging blend of a variety of styles and influences. Vocalist Anais Thomassian leads the ensemble, captivating audiences with her musicianship and theatrics.

Fish Circus has been writing and performing original music in the LA area for over three years, visiting such sites as the world famous Troubadour, the Viper Room, and Spaceland. Its members have worked with artists like Reggie Watts, Daron Malakian of System of a Down, and legendary British punk band The Adicts. Along with Voki Kalfayan (Ringling Bros., Cirque Du Soleil) the band spent nearly half of 2008 with the New York-based traveling circus Spiegelworld, performing their own material in the “Gazillionaire’s Late Night Lounge,” and also serving as the Spiegelworld backing band.

If Andy Kaufman hooked up with Frank Zappa at a GWAR concert, they might come up with something like the Fuxedos. These guys are amazing. And if you don’t get what it is they are up to, trust me, they don’t give a f**k. Danny Shorago is a dangerous and impervious front man. To really apprecia...read more
