Imagine A Prairie Home Companion mating with Monty Python’s Flying Circus at the Woodstock festival. That’s your starting point for LOST MOON RADIO, a hip and irreverent evening of comedy where, at last, the millennium generation has its own live radio hour.

Each episode of LOST MOON RADIO is a one-hour “broadcast” from DJ Jupiter Jack, a fried-out remnant of the 1960s who, against all odds, maintains a radio program he claims to transmit from the “Lost Moon of Jupiter”.

Audience members watch Jack “spin” psychedelic songs and comedic sketches, which are performed live by a company of seasoned comedy actors and a seven-piece band. It’s a laugh-out-loud, hard rocking, delightfully bizarre ride through the cosmos of comedy and live music.

My favorite Fringe show so far! The comedy is subversive yet hilarious. The concept is familiar and yet completely original. And the songs are stuck in my head. If LA were filled with shows like this, we'd be the top theatre city in the world!...read more

Best Fringe show I saw, hands down. Busted a gut multiple times over the course of the hour. I guess I'd say some of the humor is pretty countercultural, so if you're into that stuff, you'll have a really good time....read more

This radio show is truly a one-of-a-kind experience. The ensemble and band are wonderfully gifted performers. This program’s theme was America as July 4th is fast approaching. And America is the perfect topic to make fun of. The mixture skits and “radio spots” with hilarious and catchy songs is...read more
