Urban Theatre Movement presents Urban Unrest: a series of original one act plays ranging from the absurd to the surreal, creatively tied together by fusing elements of spoken word, movement, and music. Urban Unrest features some of the founding voices of Urban Theatre Movement.

"Confessions of an Arab Woman" is adapted from Joumana Haddad's memoir. It is an immersive experience as audience members enter her mind and learn about her life from her memories, thoughts and the different voices which reside there.

Eartha Kitt, the most misunderstood woman of her time. She built a coat of armor using an unwavering trueness to herself only leaving people with the impression that she was just a little lady with a big EGO. Herein lies explanations and explorations of a life misunderstood.

A bold and immersive retelling takes shape in a piece inspired by mythology, legends, and vampire lore. Beginning with the ancient roots of Dracula, this play uses contemporary dance, original music, and an original script to breathe new life into the formidable and enigmatic character.
