IT’S JUST MY LIFE is a collection of powerfully life-affirming true stories, written and performed by the strong women who lived them. What seems extraordinary and overwhelming to us, just becomes part of the fabric of these women’s lives; the new normal.   

Maria, a bi-racial Pakistani-American young woman, lives in New York City with her boyfriend Dave. On the eve of Hurricane Sandy, her father Baba comes to visit from Pakistan. Trapped inside, they are forced to confront their differing views on culture, love, and belonging.

When serial entrepreneur, Isaac, hits financial bottom, he joins Debtors Anonymous and happens to pick the worst sponsor ever - the morally bankrupt film producer, Baron. Isaac tries to get back on his feet, but Baron’s “Turbo Steps” takes them both on a wild crazy detour to recovery.

An ensemble of young Chinese artists merges their unfulfillable fantasies with stories found in a book written 350 years ago(《聊斋志异》). In a house both imaginary and real, mythical creatures step into ordinary life, as repressed fantasies revives in a city where fantasies are constantly made and sold.
