Harriet Jacobs spent 7 years hiding out in a crawl space in her grandmother's attic. In 1861, she published her story. This solo performance brings to life her captivating words of resistance, hope and freedom.

These three original pieces were written, directed and performed by the recent graduates of the Art of Acting Studio Conservatory. Developed during the 2017 Professional Conservatory Class solo show project, each is an artistic exploration of the life of a notable personality throughout history.

"Mary's Medicine" tells the true story of Jamaican nurse Mary Seacole. A woman who practices unconventional medicine during a controversial time. Despite being a decorated hero of the Crimean War history forgot her amazing life and legacy. Now her incredible story will finally be told.
