Both a touching and hilarious show, Nikki Brown brings her comic style and poetic grace to the stage in the best of ways. Although she tells (and sometimes sings) her own personal story (with the help of a few quirky characters) I found myself relating to many of the same struggles and inner conflicts she talks about growing up with. Totally engaging, entertaining and relatable, this show is a good one! I feel that there is more of the story to tell... somebody quick! throw some money at this pro...

This was one of the best things I saw at Fringe this year. Joe Mahon weaves together three distinctly different characters that each give a satirical slap to the casting process of the entertainment industry's face. He pulls all the right punches showing both the positive and negative attributes of (certain) casting directors and also showing the lengths an actor is willing or unwilling to go in the pursuit of their "dream". Each character is a brilliant exaggeration, exploiting the varying perso...

As mentioned before in another review - the pace of the show takes a bit of getting used to, but when the climax hits, you forget all about the buildup and you're 100% invested in the outcome. Stick with it, this was a very well crafted two person show....

This show was great, particularly act I and the interesting dynamic between the two characters and their unusual professions. Act 2 the characters are a lot less likeable but interesting none the less. The entire cast was made up of attractive people and all the women appear at some point in skimpy outfits, or nothing at all. Though I didn't mind seeing a pretty girl with a nice body, I felt a little uncomfortable in the case of the young dancer because the she was so young, she looked about 20. ...

Spending an afternoon in the presence of raconteur Neecole Cockerham is transporting. A trained actress she is also a brilliant and engaging storyteller, taking us from her seemingly innocent childhood through a difficult adolescence, modulating a bouquet of voices - family, friends, enemies, lovers & cops. She is at turns riotously funny (impersonating her Aunt who favors oatmeal made me cackle as I do at only the best comedy,) and elsewhere she narrates catastrophe after accident, but never wal...

Stella Valente-Wilkins is a Hollywood hyphenate: comedienne-dancer-yogini-writer-actress-raconteur. And all these Stellas meld into a delicious solo performance of coming-of-age stories, at turns both wonderfully funny and sad, told in her well-modulated Queens NY accent as girl-from-the-'hood. She riffs on family, romance, fate, slackers & goombahs. This lithe Italian-American beauty moves about the stage effortlessly on a lovely pair of dancer's legs (she taught at Arthur Murray) and pushes ply...
