A Steady Rain

This could be the jumping off point to the heretofore unknowns: RJ DeBard and Andy Hoff. While Keith Huff's play is compelling, these two actors bring it to life.... full review

This second in the series was even better than the first with several cleverly written comic pieces performed by a diverse cast. They even surprised the audience at the end when Ed Asner was featured in Will Manus' short play about a unscrupulous producer. The entire show was nicely directed by John Fingal O'Donnell.... full review

Smile, Baby

If you like sketch comedy you'll love Smile Baby! Savannah Dooley has done it again with this 50 minute fast paced series of wild scenes of women's experiences trying to avoid the everyday hassles of male harassment. The cast of five quickly and effortlessly meld from one character to another as the scenes change. Kudos to director Kate Motzenbacker for the clever staging! And hats off to cast members Madison Shepard, Sonia Jackson, Jessica DeBruin, Linda Serrato Ybarra and Molly Wixson. The... full review

We saw a wonderful play, part of the Fringe Festival at the Elephant Stages last evening. There are a few more performances, and I highly recommend it. Not only is the play well crafted to hold your attention throughout, but the cast is top notch...one if the finest ensemble performances I've seen in town! Kudos to writer, producer, director Kimba Henderson! ... full review

The Pirate Laureate of Port Town

I love plays that spoof the traditional....and "Pirate Laureate of Port Town" does just that. It's a clever sendup to piracy on the high seas....this time piracy in a black box! Despite the small space, director Chil Kong utilizes it brilliantly, even including sword play...well okay one of the characters IS flailing a parasol..... Perfect casting too, including Jon Cohn and Mark Withers...everyone actually, flawlessly transitioning from one character to another in record time. I hope "Pirate L... full review
