The Pokemusical

The Pokemusical is a fun 90 minute treat! The cast has so much energy and enthusiasm for this show. They are vocally spot on and do a great job singing over the live band. This was my first glimpse inside the Pokemon world and while I'm sure I missed more than half of the references I still laughed and truly enjoyed myself. The Jigglypuff number is truly the show stealer. ... full review

Cleaner Than Blood

Alex Scott brings another fantastic show to Fringe this year. Cleaner Than Blood should be on everyone's must see list for this year's Festival! The simple but detailed set and dimmed lights set the mood immediately for what is going to unfold over the next hour. The actors are spot on in their roles and the dialogue keeps you on the edge of your seat for the full hour. Alex Scott does such an amazing job bringing this piece to life. This is a show that will keep you thinking afterwards! Make tim... full review

Luna Noctiluca

This show definitely had tons of potential. I suppose we should have started to doubt things when we went to the address on the postcard (619 Formosa) and realized it was a residential area and the actual location was 916 Formosa. Fortunately we had left plenty of time so the location was just a minor hiccup but something to be aware of for other patrons. Being it was a preview performance I can overlook the technical issues of miscued lights, sound cues coming in too loud and the rather loud whi... full review

The Ruby Besler Cabaret

The preview performance suffered from a few technical issues as well as a lack of air conditioning and started 15 minutes late (but still ended 10 minutes early). Overall though the show is a fun 40 minute peak into the life of Ruby Besler. The songs and lyrics were cute and fun to listen to. The dancers definitely know their dances but did seem a bit nervous and unsure of themselves. I was hoping for a bit more of the magic and spectacle of 1940's burlesque but what they did, particularly with t... full review

White Trash Wedding and a Funeral

If you are looking for comedy in its most low-brow, raunchy form this is the show for you. As others have said it is definitely not a show for children or the easily offended. Alan Heitz displays effortless comedic timing as the bartender and a stand out performance by Tracy Peyton adds a sense of realism to the over the top, but funny, stereotypes of the other characters. This is the perfect late night show for anyone looking for something to do after a couple drinks at Fringe Central.... full review

Double Bind is a must see at the Fringe this year! Brilliantly written by Blake Abramovitz, this three person ensemble piece takes you on a rollercoaster ride for a short 80 minutes. Great direction by Aaron Lyons and acting by Clark Freeman, Ceri Bethan and Blake Abramovitz make this a piece you want to make sure to add to your list for this years Fringe.... full review

I had the pleasure of seeing their final dress rehearsal and even though they were still working out a few sound/lighting issues this was such a fun 80 minute show. This is a not to be missed parody of the Exorcist that will keep you laughing the entire time. ... full review

Philosophy in the Boudoir

This is definitely not your standard piece of American theater! It's by far the edgiest and fringiest show I've seen. Great ensemble and well done production. If you are at all uncomfortable with full nudity or sexual situations this may not be the show for you (or it may be the perfect show for you!). Make sure to read the description before you attend. It is one hour of theater you certainly won't forget!... full review
