There was a lot of hype surrounding this show from a lot of people I talked to who highly recommended it, and while I enjoyed it, it didn't quite meet my expectations. Is it worth checking out at least once? Yes, it's free and if you can stay up late after Fringe-ing all day. If it's on your list, check it out. The guest stars blew me away as did Mitchell in the main cast, and I thought the rest of the main cast was good, too, but the standouts for me were the guest stars and Mitchell.... full review

Despite a few muddled/confusing elements of the plot, the performers were very engaging and made the hour long show feel like nothing at all. I went to go see this show since I had an hour in between shows and it was on the schedule, but I am thrilled that I made that decision instead of just walking around Fringe for an hour. This show was great! The performer (Johanna) tells a hilarious story, with moments of sincerity and depth, including some powerful metaphors through dance, and it, along with some other shows I've seen, have helped me appreciate one-person shows. An excellent piece of work from this cast of 5 with standouts being Wesley and Danny, White Dude and Black Dude, respectively, playing numerous characters each, without looking like they were going to pass out or become winded. Mad props for the stamina of the entire cast and crew! The Mayor was hilarious, Sarah has a rich, flirty voice, and Toxie rips at your heart strings--he's just trying to be a good guy. This show relies heavily on physical comedy and comedic timing to work, and boy, does it sure have both. And a lot of it. I saw a preview, and it was tight. I was crying so hard from laughing. I cannot express how brilliant this show is. It's very low-brow humor, but it finds its sophistication within that humor. While the show might not be so tight yet, it is hilarious, thought-provoking, and surprisingly endearing. The performances are great, and the script is well-written. Once the kinks are fixed, and the show tightens up, it will be a really strong production.... full review

I am not the biggest fan of solo performances and wasn't planning on going to any, but this was playing at a time that worked in my schedule for preview weekend, worked within my budget, and sounded interesting--and I was so glad I took a chance. While the transitions were very awkward, it makes the music and the story behind the songs all the more endearing. What made the show awkward really helped make it funny, enlightening, and musical all in its own way.... full review
