A(partment 8)

I am still processing the experience that I had during A(Partment 8) even though I saw it on June 12th. Talk about a mind f**k. This show IS Fringe. It is fascinating, unsettling, visceral, thought-provoking, brilliant. You will not experience anything like this anywhere else. I honestly don't know what else to say expect that Annie Lesser is an artistic genius and I cannot wait to see what she comes up with next. ... full review

Titus Andronicus Jr.

Titus Jr. is bloody brilliant! I was so impressed with the level of understanding the young actors had with the text of Titus Andronicus as it is (in my opinion) one of Shakespeare's more difficult plays. I had no idea what to expect when I sat down to watch Titus Jr. and I am happy to say that I thoroughly enjoyed the whole show. I especially loved the twist ending (which I won't give away). Kudos to Mr. Benjamin and his drama class at Dawson Middle School! This is a must-see show at Fringe, don... full review

All The Best Killers Are Librarians

All The Best Killers Are Librarians is a must-see show! It is an extraordinary production and probably one of the most polished shows that I have ever seen at Fringe. It's clever, witty and moves at a heightened pace (so, try not to blink or you might miss something!). The story is absolutely brilliant (masterfully written by Bob DeRosa) and the direction (by Alicia Conway Rock) is clean, quick and sharp. The cast is made up of an ensemble of extremely talented actors. I couldn't single out any ... full review

My Big Fat Blonde Musical

Do not miss this show! Theresa Stroll is insanely talented and a joy to watch. She gives it her all in My Big Fat Blonde Musical never missing a beat and is able to easily keep the audience captivated the entire time. In this show, Theresa is a true triple threat singing, dancing and acting her way through the trials and tribulations of trying to make it as an actor in LA. Hands down one of my favorite shows at Fringe!... full review

THUG TUNNEL

esther mira · June 16, 2016 certified reviewer
Thug Tunnel is such a fun and creative show! I loved the 80s vibe and everyone was having such a blast on stage. Major props must be given to the staging, choreography and music. I could tell this was a very complex show and a ton of work went into creating it. I had a blast watching it and found myself humming some of the songs well after I had left the theatre (which is a good thing in my book!). ... full review

Las Garcia - BEYOND ENCORE

esther mira · June 16, 2016 certified reviewer
This show is phenomenal and Gabriela Ortega is a powerhouse of talent. I truly felt that I was watching multiple characters on stage even though it's a one woman show. Gabriela embodies each character with her entire being and it is incredible to see how the story unfolds. The writing, directing, staging, lighting, sound and of course acting are top notch! This is definitely a highlight at Fringe this year, and a must-see! ... full review

Dating: Adults Embracing Failure

This is such a wonderfully funny and original show! Josh Lanzet and Lindy Voeltner are comedic geniuses who play off each other exceptionally well. Both actors are unafraid to be honest and truly tackle the nitty gritty nuances that make up relationships. The result is both heartwarming and hilarious! Expect to walk away aching from laughter and pondering what it means to be truly intimate with someone.... full review

BLOOD, A Voodoo Love Story

Blood is such a raw, beautiful, and bold show. Maria Tomas and Phrederic Semaj are an unstoppable tour de force whose chemistry cements an already stellar production. This combination when paired with Michael Phillip Edwards' incredible script and direction, is probably one of the most amazing shows I have ever had the pleasure of seeing at Fringe.... full review

Four Clowns presents The Halfwits' Last Hurrah

Wow, Four Clowns is absolutely phenomenal! I have never seen a Four Clowns show before (I know, shame on me!), but boy am I glad I got to see this one. I plan on seeing many more of their shows in the future, the group is that amazing. I was completely captivated from start to finish during The Halfwits' Last Hurrah, and I didn't want it to end! The ensemble works incredibly well together and there's never a dull moment. To me, this show perfectly embodies what The Hollywood Fringe is all about. ... full review

Kyla Garcia is perfection in "The Mermaid Who Learned How To Fly". Full of energy, passion and life, she beautifully weaves a compelling and thoughtful story for her audience. I was immediately pulled into her magical world and was completely captivated by her charm and wit from the moment she started speaking.
