Show #1: What a way to kick off the Fringe. I knew nothing going in other than Nikki Muller had a new show. But man. This is one of the shows to see. It's so very much what it is and it is so very good at being that. The cast is great, David Haverty is UNLEASHED and fantastic...from the moment you realize "it's gonna be that show" it is and it never lets up. Excellent show by an excellent crew. ... full review

I saw the run of this show that ended right before Fringe. I may not get to see this modified-for-Fringe version which is too bad because the version I saw was, in a word, delightful. The music and innocence, the jokes. It was all just great. ... full review

FULL DISCLOSURE, I know a lot of these people! I've got inherent biases! Read the reviews or just go see it. This show recreates the wonderful late-night energy of the Sacred Fool's Serial Killers show (from where this show originated). It's full of jokes, songs, references - the English majors will really dig this one. I saw it with a full house and the energy never wanes. An all around great time at the Fringe. ... full review

Yes. A great cast going at it for the duration. Because there are layers here and a good deal of thinky business (which I had to speak with people about afterwards to fully grasp) you'll want to go in clear headed and ready. The low lighting keeps things pressurized and spooky. A great piece run by a talented crew. Katie Eiler's script is tight and clear. And a great October play. As part of the Sacred Fools Monster Mash Triple Feature, this is the "serious" one. Though there are some hard lau... full review

FULL DISCLOSURE, I know a lot of these people! My biases are inherent! "The Taste Test" (street name) is fun fun fun with a capital "ph." As Fringe-y a show as you could want. Fun, silly, a little bit dangerous in places (Creep!), overall ridiculous. Nobody walks out grumpy. I mean, you get free teeth with your ticket, for Pete's sake. What more do you want? Free teeth!... full review

Stand Down the March

I'm really glad folks are swinging at big issues these days. Freedom of speech, handling differing points of view, private vs. public, etc. I thought Naomi Brodkin did a good job of creating full characters that aren't just stage mouths reciting agenda points (a pitfall of this genre of story, I think). Because of this, when the consequences start falling into place, you feel the effect. The Fools' main stage is BIG and this cast fills the space well. And this felt like a situation that could... full review
