Robot Monster the Musical

I've never seen the movie "Robot Monster"; now I want to. I laughed loud and often at this extremely silly and extremely fun romp. A lot of really good performances from almost everyone in the cast. Although some were stronger singers than others, I'd say the majority were in good voice. And I truly feel for the poor actor in that robot-helmeted gorilla suit for the whole show!... full review

Why We Become Witches

You probably don't often think of the word "charming" in connection with the word "Satan," but this show is indeed absolutely charming. I'm glad I saw "Two M@therf#ckers on a Ledge"--it was an impressive piece of theater. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys character-driven dramas of moderate-to-high intensity. Simple set, simple lighting and sound design, both appropriate: as primarily a character piece, the play didn't need more. Both performers were extremely talented, and both performances outstanding. The actors were given challenging characters to portray in a challenging situation, and they excelled. In fact, I... full review

The Best of Albuquerque Fringe 2025

Material is clever, creative, and very very funny. Mostly strong performances, with the women overall stronger than the men (Jim Blanchette being a notable exception). Particularly impressed with the number of characters many of the actors were able to differentiate clearly. One extremely minor quibble about the writing: The conceit is that the show takes place ten years in the future, but -- apart from a single joke near the start -- the material seems firmly tied to present-day culture.
