Experiment

I give props to both Alexa Giuffre and Sean Burgos, because they're very committed to their characters, but the 20 minute "EXPERIMENT" may not be for everyone. Melanie Wehrmacher's play has little to no exposition, and doesn't allow it's character to really change between the beginning and end of the play. As a result, it's characters, regardless of who's playing them, come across as a little bit unlikeable. Maybe it was just me, but I didn't understand what I was supposed to take away from this ... full review

Lemon Boots

Move over Cirque Du Soleil, LEMON BOOTS is a fringey, creative devised dance piece that's fun for audiences of all ages. This 16 person emsemble really knows how to move, and that's the fun of this piece, just getting to see what the actors will do with their bodies next. It's clear that these guys love theatre, love each other, and have committed to making a great piece of physical theatre. With a little more polish to this piece I would have "loved it" - as the show stands right now it ... full review

Ceremony

As Michael Kass put it himself at the end of his show "Holy Shit Balls!", this is a solo show that casually invites it's audience on a wild ride full of heart, space aliens, ex-girlfriends, and one awesome punch to the gut that makes you want to vomit... but that's a good thing. This incredible journey of self discovery is a polished solo show that blends the most basic elements of mime, set design, and creative soundscape to create a show that will have you on the edge of your seat, leaning ... full review

Making Love Over There

There's nothing not to love about Lonesome No More's highly innovative and skillful "Making Love Over There". Mad props to an extremely talented cast, a wonderful script, and a great production team that perfect a Brechtian style that is too often ignored in today's theatre community. In short, Making Love Over There is the icing on top of the must see fringe shows. ... full review

This Vicious Minute

Ben Moroski spills his guts on stage with no apologies for one vicious minute as he delivers the most beautiful and poetic confession I've ever been privileged enough to witness. He is a master storyteller that instantly captivates you from the moment the lights go dark. THIS VICIOUS MINUTE, simply put, is the show you have to see at Fringe. GO!... full review

Jennifer Aniston Stole My Life

alex scott · June 19, 2012 certified reviewer
Though Jennifer Aniston's blackouts and scene transitions are far too long, and the lack of preshow music seems odd and a little bit lazy, the script and cast more than make up for it. This ensemble takes the spontaneity of Jon Courie's fun, yet extremely dark comedy and spins it in a way that seems absolutely normal. This is a fun show full of heart that all audiences can grasp and understand. I'd highly recommend it for any actor that's ever gone on an audition - ever. Just make sure yo... full review

Chad Kukahiko's thought provoking, joyful presentation of Leprechauns & Lies offers a refreshing and unique look into one man's discovery of Innocence, leprechauns, and the greater meaning of life. This performance offers audiences a nice escape that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not. Honest. Heartfelt. Hopeful. ... full review
