Lots of fun! Great cast hitting some great gags on some classic films. Kudos to the cast for keeping it together during this. But I wished they would have finished!!! Very enjoyable hour!... full review

The Video Games

What a great concept for a show! Tons of fun seeing our favorite video game characters brought to life...and then trying to end each other. Some very clever puns, jokes and gags designed specifically for fans of the game and a great idea to have the audience voting play such a key role in the production. Some wonderful characters, especially Zelda, played by the wonderfully talented Elise Golgowski. ... full review

Lady Into Fox

Absolutely wonderful theatre! Love the "story-time-in-the-living-room" feel of it all. Sitting together as a group on pillows on the floor, it felt less like theatre and more like an experience. The actors are adorable and fantastic and really bring you in to the whole experience. Have not been to a more cozy show. Go see this one! Just lovely!!!... full review

Ex Communication

Just a great, fun Fringe show! Nothing terribly complex here, but its wonderful in its simplicity. Smart dialogue, wonderful acting, great direction and soundtrack and the rare treat of seeing a female-heavy play in L.A. All very well-rounded characters. Looking forward to seeing more from this writer.... full review

Annabella

Gorgeous. Just gorgeous. Annabella feels almost more like an opera than a musical. Wonderful story, rich characters and a songbook that will give you absolute chills. The performers themselves are wonderful, especially Tony who brings an astronomical amount of passion to this work. heads up Broadway, he'll be working there soon. GO SEE THIS SHOW!!!... full review

King of Kong: A Musical Parody

One of the best hours at Fringe. Just ridiculous and absolutely hysterical. Catchy songs wonderfully and energetically performed. Literally did not stop laughing the entire time. Love both of the artists. You guys were incredible and so much fun. Go see this show!!... full review

The 7th Annual One-Man Show World Championships

I'm not even sure I have the words to describe this incredibly hysterical show. A true parody homage with a lot of bite, this show features brilliant performers, especially Darin Tooner, whose Trent "The Soul Mirror" Isaacs is everything you ever wanted and didn't want to see in a solo performer. Nothing short of genius. Jim Hanna's Newhart-like approach to his character is amazing as well, with some of the boldest (and beautifully disgusting) material you'll hear at Fringe. This is definitely no... full review

The Devil You Say

As someone without a lot of experience seeing puppetry, I was absolutely hooked. Gorgeous puppetry work, a great voice and some wonderful tricks and treats back-dropped by a compelling diatribe on, perhaps, the NEED for Satan in our lives. Loved the show!... full review

The Best of Albuquerque Fringe 2025

jim martyka · June 09, 2015 certified reviewer
This show is a trip and a half! It's an absolutely hysterical parody of everything we love about not just Fringe but indy theatre in general. Two wonderfully abstract writers have put together a true romp in every sense of the word and the cast, under the leadership of their mania-loving but disciplined director throws caution to the wind and goes for it in all its bizarre glory. There are some moments in this show that had me crying I was laughing so hard. These guys and gals aren't afraid to po... full review

A Very Modern Marriage

What a fun show! Great script, great acting, great directing. This one could compete for some Fringe awards. Some real, dramatic moments mixed with some slapstick, witty humor, extreme (but believable) characters and a lot of heart. Honestly, everything one could look for in a show. Great job to all involved. Go see it....and "Eat your soup."... full review
