TALES OF THE EXTRAORDINARY
The long-running 1920s pulp radio serial comes to the Hollywood Fringe Festival

Every Sunday at 7pm, from June 10th through the 24th, TALES OF THE EXTRAORDINARY will perform all three episodes of the epic "Vampires & Werewolves & Bears.” Travel with our madcap characters and witness robotic automatons! Supernatural beasties! Double entendres! Single entendres! Live music by “Windows to Sky” weaves throughout the performance, while all of the sound effects and suggestions for improvised commercial breaks are provided by the audience.

For each night, they join a cast of geek all-stars, including regulars like show creator Michael T. Coleman (voice of “Cody” in Street Fighter IV and Street Fighter x Tekken), Taliesin Jaffe (prolific and long-time video game and anime voice actor and director), Matthew Mercer (voice of Z.W.E.I. in Soul Calibur V and “Tygra” on Cartoon Network’s “Thundercats”).

Catch every show to get the full story. Tickets are $10 at the door or through the Hollywood Fringe:

ABOUT THE SHOW
In TALES OF THE EXTRAORDINARY, the year of 1927 is retold with a dash of extra pulp. It’s just like you remember, but with more blimps, more super science, and a chimp that thinks he’s the Great Gatsby. Since 2008, the show has been podcasting 70+ episodes recorded live and in-studio. TALES is not a recreation of old radio shows, but rather a story set in the 1920s produced with modern style, music, and sound effects.

In “Vampires & Werewolves & Bears,” famed explorer Little Dickie Broughton traverses continental Europe on the Orient Express, when he is waylaid in the Carpathian Mountains by the otherworldly inhabitants there. Meanwhile, Officer Mike Sullivan flees the Canadian authorities only to wind up in the most whitebread town in Vermont, where things are not as irritatingly cheerful as they seem.
