Gia Scott-Heron daughter of the legendary writer, poet, rapper, jazz musician, singer and bluesologist Gil Scott-Heron and Poets Jazz House…a fierce band of spoken word artists are spittin’ fire and blazin’ stages with the powerful intensity of truth and messages from a visionary and the thought-provoking rhythms that made Civil Rights Activist Gil Scott-Heron a world renown influential artist, musician and Icon. Still prevalent today are the timeless and classic words of Gil Scott-Heron; considered the GODFATHER OF RAP because his music reflects the turbulence, uncertainty and increasing pessimism of the times, with a satirical edge told in the tradition of oral poetry and storytelling.

The ensemble cast of Poets and Musicians include: Gia Scott-Heron, Conney Williams, Lorenzo Frank, Clent Bowers, Yawo Watts, Art.Us Mansoir, The ORACLE and executive producer Tuesday Conner (Founder of ICCC2 & Poets Jazz House). Directed by sisters Lynne and Tuesday Conner (International Award-Winning Producers and Filmmakers). Both are alumni of Inner City Cultural Center under the direction of C. Bernard Jackson.
