So You Think You Can Teach ?

view project

Comedian and elementary school teacher Beth McGregor premiers her interactive multi-media solo comedy show at the Fringe Central Venue (ArtWorks Theater) in this year’s second annual Hollywood Fringe Festival.

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN TEACH connects the right angle of teaching with the acute humor of a teacher-cum-comedian. Learn with Beth as she puts these two worlds together in a show with more hair-pulling than Jerry Springer, more amusing grammar mistakes than Jersey Shore, and more awkward silences than your sex-ed class. Expect some words of caution about naptime and plenty of stickers.

Beth lives in a funny world and likes sharing that with people as a stand-up comic, improviser, actor, and freestyle dancer. Living in NYC she has established herself as a joyful force on the stand-up circuit, performing at clubs and events, and countless bars and basements. Most notably she was recently an Official Selection at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2010 and Boston’s Women in Comedy Festival 2010. She received her BA in Drama and MA in Education from Stanford University. She performs regularly at UCB (NY) and produces one of Manhattan’s hottest alt rooms, Comedy School Dropout.
