12 April 2011…New York, NY…The 2nd Annual Hollywood Fringe Festival, in association with Theatre of NOTE, presents John Grady’s Fear Factor: Canine Edition, on June 17th – June 23rd. This will be the West Coast premiere after the show’s recent East Coast debut at the Orlando International Fringe Festival. Tickets go on sale May 1st. There will be a preview performance for press on Sunday, June 12th at 6:30pm, at Fringe Central, prior to the show’s run at Theatre of NOTE.

Fear Factor: Canine Edition is about the peculiar and misguided true adventures of a man and his service dog. It’s a culmination of finely woven and irreversibly moving stories about John and his Bernese Mountain Dog, Abby. At its core, it is a tale of true love, of overcoming obstacles, while attempting to stare fear in the face.

John Grady is an actor and a writer from New York City. He starred off Broadway in Spalding Gray: Stories Left To Tell and performed with the original production of Blue Man Group. John is a multiple story slam winner at the Moth, in both LA and NYC. His stories have been heard on KCRW, the Moth Radio Hour on NPR, and the Story Worthy podcast. John worked with film director, Francis Lawrence on both I Am Legend, and the NBC drama Kings.

The Hollywood Fringe, modeled after the Edinburgh Festival, features cutting-edge performers and innovative works. The festival is billed as “11 Days of Theatre, Art, Music and Madness.” The 2nd Annual Hollywood Fringe Festival will take place June 2011, and feature the talents of more than 175 performing artists and companies.
