Award winning Comedienne Kathy Westfield (like the malls… So kidding!) brings humor and a strong determination to survive, in telling her story of physical, sexual and emotional abuse at the hands of the men she loved. Transparent and uncensored, this performance takes its audience into the mind of a battered woman to bring about awareness to her plight and the truth about how comedy helped her to heal. From her early childhood experiences to the failed relationships in adulthood, to the stages of stand-up, this woman shares her story of what kept her alive.

Kathy Westfield, stand-up comedian, has been featured on Good Morning America, ABC World News Tonight, BET’s Comic View, The Apollo, The Trinity Broadcast Network, Centric TV, the Dr. Drew Show, and was a $10,000 grand prize winner on America’s Funniest People. She was the winner of the Los Angeles Comedy Awards’ Funniest Clean Comedian and was featured in the film Dreams. She performs comedy across the country at comedy clubs and a variety of venues.

Iona Morris is a multi-talented Director/Writer/Actress/Teacher who has directed Blair Underwood (co-writer), Jenifer Lewis, Kim Wayans, Penny Johnson Jerald (contributing monologues to), Thelma Houston (co-writer), Michael Colyar, Tammi Mac and many others in their solo shows. Her workshop SOLO JOURNEY is where she met Kathy and this work is one she polished in Iona’s workshop.
