“CONFESSIONS OF AN ARAB WOMAN” at the Hollywood Fringe Festival 2017.

August 23,25,26 at 8 p.m. and August 27 at 7 p.m. @ Complex Theater – Dorie Stage

Hollywood, CA – May 17, 2017 – NW Production brings to the stage the highly-acclaimed book “I Killed Scheherazade” by award winning writer Joumana Haddad in a new play by Nagham Wehbe called “Confessions of an Arab Woman”. Based on the book that has been translated to more than 3 languages and its author who has been selected as one of the 100 most powerful Arab women for three years in a row by Arabian Business Magazine.

“Confessions of an Arab Woman” brings Joumana’s life story to the stage. It explores her upbringing in Lebanon and all the factors that made her who she is today. It counters stereotypes about Arab and Middle eastern women by showcasing an authentic story of a powerful woman. At the same time, it is an invitation to women everywhere to own their power.

Written and produced by Nagham Wehbe along with support from Asst. Director Karmel Humphrey. Starring: Cynthia Yelle, Nadia El-Tawansy, Gamon Quinn, Sandy Rather, Brenda Salas, Taylor Solomon, Alexandra Olson, Evan Langle, Gilbert Reynoso. Choreography by Calista Ruiz. Sound by Chris Alvarez. Make-up by Hiba Flayan. Music by Marcel Khalifi,Iyad Wehbe, Nina Grae, Ryan&Raja.

“Confessions of an Arab Woman” debuted at The Complex Theaters in March with a run of 8 sold out shows.

It returns to the Complex Theaters, Dorie Theater for the Hollywood Fringe Festival Saturday June 10th at 1pm, Saturday, June 17th at 2pm and Friday June 23rd at 10pm; all performances will be inside the Dorie Theater.

The Complex Theaters are located at 6476 Santa Monica, Los Angeles, CA – between Wilcox and Cole on the southside of Santa Monica Blvd.
