Are you ready to laugh ‘til you die?

“Bloody Awful” combines two horror comedies by award-winning playwright Leland Frankel into one unforgettably provocative—and feminist—evening of chills and thrills!

Up first is “The Callback,” a classic tale of Hollywood dreams gone sour. Showbiz can be brutal, and aspiring actress Molly Bates is willing to do whatever it takes to get the part – even kidnap the snobbish director, Ashford. Will he be able to withstand bouts of physical, mental, and emotional torture? Will Molly finally win the life of stardom she is convinced that she deserves? There are no easy answers in this tense, sidesplitting battle of the sexes.

Part two is “Slaughterhouse,” which introduces us to Kurt, a self-conscious young man desperate to keep his girlfriend from finding out what a loser he is. Making matters a bit more complicated is the fact that Kurt is also the only law-abiding citizen in an apartment populated with notorious, bloodthirsty serial killers. This hilarious nightmare asks, “How much would you put up with for the ones you love?”
