AIRPLANE LIVE!
The crème de la crème of parody movies, “Airplane!,” comes to you LIVE on stage in a show that both satirizes and lovingly embraces the comedy classic you already know by heart.

Follow the tormented former fighter pilot, Ted Striker, as he tries to win back the affections of stewardess Elaine Dickenson on the doomed flight 209.

Full of the moments you love, and some new takes you might not expect, this ain’t no passive theater event. Shout out lines, dance, sing and more when you join us aboard the Trans-American Flight traveling from LAX to Chicago O’Hare. Just don’t eat the fish!

Airplane LIVE! came about out of a conversation that started, “Why aren’t modern comedies funny?” Originally opening last fall in NoHo, everyone involved was thrilled at the audience response to our take on this 1980’s comedy classic. The show was pumped up a bit, adding in more modern day characters and references (while still sticking closely to the tone and comedy of the original film), and opened at the Flight Theatre in mid-February. Sold out shows with repeat audiences brought us to Fringe in hopes to continue to share the fun we’re having with other fans who also appreciate this cult favorite.

The best part of the production is whenever we talk to someone about the show, they always shoot back their favorite line from the movie. And, inevitably, it’s a completely different line each time! This is a quotable film and we highly encourage our audiences to shout out their favorite lines along with us.
