Shelley Mitchell leads the Mystic in the Theater Method Acting Workshop.

Participants will demystify the Method and connect themselves to the vitality of their own talent and life experience. Mitchell uses a combination of philosophy, sense-memory exercises and mindfulness to help performing artists up their game no matter where they’re at.

Shelley Mitchell has been cooking The Method back to it’s liberating and consciousness-expanding essence for 25+ years. She’s best known as an actress for her solo show Talking with Angela: Budapest, 1943 (featured at the 2017 Hollywood Fringe). Shelley Mitchell trained with Lee Strasberg throughout the 70s and has brought the sorely needed feminine and mystical that Eleonora Duse was so famous for, back to the center of the conversation about acting training.

This workshop with Shelley Mitchell frees the spirit and brings people to a place where they’re fresh, they’re interesting and they discover parts of themselves that they didn’t even know they had! People come out of this training knowing how to create characters from the fabric of their own soul and make full use of whatever it is that makes them unique.
