THE SCHOOL OF NIGHT
PROUDLY INTRODUCES THE CAST OF
PUNCH AND JUDY
for the 2016 Hollywood Fringe Festival

This Saturday, June 4, at 9:15pm the first preview of Punch and Judy, a live-action extravaganza begins. Then on Sunday, June 5, at 7:15pm the amusement continues for one more preview before the official 2016 Hollywood Fringe Festival opening. Come get your Punch on! Featuring: knives, bats, skillets, chainsaws, axes, ghosts a Cirque du Soleil clown, a martial artist and a live foley musician.

And now for your viewing pleasure, the cast:

Kjai Block (Toby the Dog, et al) “Woof woof woof, woof woof. Woof woof (woof etc.) woof woof woof woof, woof woof woof. Woof! Woof woof woof woof woof, [email protected]. Woof!”

Tiffany Cole (Mr. Scaramouch, et al) A Native Angeleno and graduate of the University of Southern California School of Theatre, Ms. Cole is excited to be making her Hollywood Fringe premiere. Favorite LA productions include the critically acclaimed and LA Weekly Award winning world premiere of Steve Yockey’s Very Still & Hard to See, directed by Michael Matthews, the titular role in Seneca’s Electra, and the high-intensity, sensory driven production of Henry VI part 1, directed by Punch & Judy’s Christopher Johnson. Latest film-work includes Gone, Someplace Better Than Here, The 5th Dimension and the soon to be released Aurora – as well as a brief cameo in the creature-action film Sharknado- oh yeah!

Synden Healy (Pretty Polly, et al) Hailing from Portland, Oregon, Synden moved to Los Angeles and shortly thereafter learned the meaning of traffic from hell. She believes it’s almost as bad as Punch with a Twitter account. She was also cast in the title role of Shakespeare’s Henry VI part 1, directed by Christopher Johnson. Synden is thrilled to be making her debut at Fringe, and to be doing another production with Chris and Jen. Although currently pursuing a musical career with her band “Aelish,” theater remains one of Synden’s greatest passions.

Sondra Mayer (Judy, et al): Welcome to Punch & Judy Live! Talk about a play that has everything I love: fighting, nagging, more fighting, inappropriateness, even more fighting, ghost nagging, and surprise(!), still more fighting. A little about me: I’m a Chicago native actress/writer/fighter, have a BA in Liberal Arts from Columbia College Chicago, am a 6-weapon SAFD certified actor/combatant, an Associate Member of Sacred Fools, an Artist-in-Residence at Celebration Theatre, and a proud member of SAG-AFTRA. Recent theatre: Evil Gabbi and various monsters in She Kills Monsters at Loft Theatre Ensemble (Ovations for Best Fight Choreography and Puppetry (five-headed dragon, Tiamat.) Recent web: Award winning 20 Seconds to Live’s “Clear,” on ArieScope and on Youtube. Recent fight choreography for “Pop Music,” which is a brilliant short film on Vimeo that you definitely need to watch. And co-founder of Trespass Films, a 360-degree film company and custom camera rig designers. www.trespass.co. Many thanks to Chris, Jen, School of Night, the brilliant cast, Hollywood Fringe, and you, the audience, without whom we cannot fully enjoy the hurling of insults and fists. Socialize with: @sondra_mayer, @Trespass360, @SchoolofNightLA. …Judy isn’t done yet.

Eric Rollins (The Devil, et al) From his debut on the Emmy nominated PBS series ZOOM, Eric’s roles have ranged from a teenager fighting for independence, to a loving father, and even a vindictive monarch. A graduate of Emerson College, Eric moved to Los Angeles to further his career after working with some of Boston’s most prestigious theatre companies. He has worked with the Actors’ Shakespeare Project in Coriolanus, understudied Cory and Lyons in the Kenny Leon production of Fences at The Huntington Theatre Company, and has appeared in several independent films, among other projects. A trained martial artist, Eric also uses his physical skills in choreographing stage combat when he’s not out for a hike or trying to make time to finally visit LACMA (Finally made it after almost 5 years!). Eric can be seen on the web series Post Grad and the D&D web series Natural 20, as well as on televisions shows such as Kevin From Work (ABCFamily/Freeform), Legit (FX) and in independent films such as Counterpunch and Funeral Kings. Punch and Judy is going to be some damn dirty fun!

Jimmy Slonina (Punch) currently stars as Benny the Clown in Cirque du Soleil’s Mystère at Treasure Island in Las Vegas. Previous Cirque credits include Zarkana, “O” and the North American tour of KOOZÅ. In 2013 he starred as the concert host/emcee of P!NK’s The Truth About Love Tour, entertaining tens of thousands nightly in North America, Europe and Australia. He created characters for and performed in Franco Dragone’s Vegas aquatic spectacle, Le Rêve. Jimmy has also performed as a physical comic in more than a dozen Las Vegas showrooms, has appeared in several acclaimed films and web series, and produces various popular video and film projects. Originally from Chicago, Jimmy enjoyed many years as a critically-acclaimed actor in a broad variety of contemporary, classical and physical theaters. He has worked with many world-renowned, award-winning Chicago theatre companies, including Steppenwolf Theatre, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Redmoon Theater, and Defiant Theatre to name a few. He is also the recipient of two Joseph Jefferson Awards for acting.

See? You don’t want to miss this.

Oh, and uh…don’t bring any kids.
