LOS ANGELES, CA. (June 9, 2016) Brüka Theatre presents for The Hollywood Fringe Festival: New Canula, an original “unromantic feel good dramedy” written by Gary Cremeans II. New Canula performs at Actors Company in Los Angeles on June 18 at 5:30 PM, June 19 at 8:30 PM, June 23 at 7:00 PM, June 24 at 6:30 PM and June 25 at 9:00 PM, 2016. Tickets are $10. The show is recommended for ages 14 and up.

Think classic comedy, Reservoir Dogs without a reservoir, a dude play with a twist. Take J. Dubbs, a hapless unromantic with dreams of the afterlife being preferable to his present one; Marion “Bull” DesCarzo, a desperate bank robber with nebulous ties to the underworld; and throw in Grandma Betty, a framed photograph with limitless Jersey-style homespun wisdomisms…and you have an unclear and confusing sense of what New Canula is really all about.

New Canula comes to The Hollywood Fringe Festival from Reno, Nevada. Next up New Canula tours to the International New York Fringe Festival in August of 2016. This is the second original show to come out of Brüka Theatre and be accepted to the NY Fringe. New Canula was originally part of The Biggest Little Theatre Festival at Brüka Theatre in Reno, Nevada in November 2014.

The show received rave reviews that inspired the playwright to continue to develop the production and submit to national Fringe Festivals. The play was accepted to both Hollywood in June and The New York International Fringe Festival in August.

Reservations are available through the Hollywood Fringe Festival box office at http://www.hollywoodfringe.org/browse. Tickets are $10. Tickets are also available at the door. Information at www.HollywoodFringe.org.
