Los Angeles, CA (May 6, 2016) – The Hollywood Fringe Premiere production of One Step Over runs at Sacred Fools Theater Company on the Black Box stage, June 4 – June 25, 2016. The play is written and directed by D.B. Levin.
One Step Over is a fast-paced Faustian tale about a group of Wall Street traders who turn on each other after an insider trading scam goes sideways, leaving every man fighting for himself.

That’s the jumping-off point for playwright D.B. Levin’s ruthless new drama One Step Over.
By rapid turns sad, hilarious and truly terrifying, One Step Over follows a group of gonzo Wall Street traders who share no compunction about stealing from their clients, alienating their families, and turning on each other if it means making more money.
As these men dive deeper into the hearts of their own darkness, they quickly discover how fast the lines of acceptable behavior can blur into effortless betrayal.
With a laser-sharp ear for brutal verbal exchange and an eerie instinct for the tortuous deceits of daily life, Mr. Levin’s One Step Over is a thrilling theatrical work which already has audiences comparing his wicked voice to notable playwrights
Kenneth Lonergan (This Is Our Youth), Stephan Adly Gurgis (Jesus Hopped the “A” Train), and David Mamet (Speed-the-Plow).
Mr. Levin has worked in theatre and film for the last sixteen years. For film, his produced work includes the feature mockumentary Bitter Jester (executive produced by Richard Belzer), as well as the short films Something, Neverland and Buried Treasure. Additionally, he has directed independent music videos and commercials. On the theatre front, his plays have appeared on stages in both New York and LA, and as a theatre director, he’s helmed many original Off-Broadway works including Joe Hutcheson’s Magnolia Beaumont Goes to Provincetown and The Purpose of Matter in the Universe: The Geography of a Spiritual Crisis (2007 Midtown International Theatre Festival Nominee for Best One-Man Show).
One Step Over features Ralph Guzzo as Kelley Carlisle, David Lee Garver as Jerry Goldstein, Ed Hendershott as Martin Richards, Zachary Ray Sherman as Davis Gudger, and Andy Dubitsky as Killer Novak. Creative team includes David Joshua Lawrence (assistant director/understudy). Executive Producer is Benjamin Schwartz.
