What kinds of fart are there in your stomach?
of theatre company Masil is having its world tour, starting from LA – LA Korean Cultural Center and Hollywood Fringe Festival. It is a monodrama, completed with the audience participation, especially for children and their families. It is a play newly created based on the Korean traditional folk tale ‘The farting daughter-in-law’.

The most amazing fart EVER!
The performance played here and now. The children audiences enjoying active participation! These two made the everyday’s play newly completed. They could be a leading creator making the sound which has not existed in the world, being a problem solver of the fart incident.

Vivid story bringing imagination!
Can the children nowadays feel the warm affection of the old stories chatted together? They have become unimaginative in the world of fancy toys and spectacles. This is the monodrama and the performer transforms into various characters only with simple props and movements. The children will experience that they could picture anything in their mind’s eye through the lively communication.

Masil is a professional theatre group creating children’s play for more than 10 years. Masil has made the performances with the heart of preparing the table for their spirit and soul. This is an amusing family play not only for children but also for their parents. It could present a wonderful time and happy memory that you could talk with over and over again.

Synopsis
What if there’s a planet that we have to hold in our fart and we go there? The farting lady, BBongsoon, who has to fart at least twice in a week get married into the a family in Sadalsuud where she must not fart. To adapt herself to new circumstances, she holds her fart desperately. She, however, finds her stomach getting flatulent and can’t stand the pain anymore. She starts to search for the way to fart secretly and…

Theatre Company MASIL

Masil is a theatre company focusing performances for children, from infants to teenagers and their families. We have made various works including audience participation plays, musicals, forum theatre, education, drama plays, and experiencing programs. Performers and audiences interact, making plays together. Participants take an active part in the plays. We hope they could come into performances and drama plays easily like meeting neighborhood, which means going out Masil in Korean.
