FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ABSOLUTE THEATRE COMPANY
PRESENTS THE ALL-FEMALE VERSION OF “THE COMPLETE WORKS OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE (ABRIDGED)” BY ADAM LONG, DANIEL SINGER, AND JESS WINFIELD
OPENING JUNE 11, 2016 AT 4PM FOR A LIMITED RUN AT ASYLUM@6470
AS PART OF THE 2016 HOLLYWOOD FRINGE FESTIVAL
The award-winning Absolute Theatre Company has announced that they will present an all-female version of “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)” by Adam Long, Daniel Singer, and Jess Winfield at the intimate Asylum@6470 space, located in the heart of Hollywood Fringe Central on Santa Monica Blvd. It will star Tracy Eliott, Anna Quirino Miranda, and Patty Jean Robinson, and is directed by Hallie Cooper.
THE PLAY:
The whole canon in under 90 minutes! Hilarity ensues in this all-female version of the popular, irreverent comedy.

An entire population exists out there who have never read the plays. And they seem to get along just fine. Another fragment have read or seen a few. Some may have even seen one of the great film adaptations like “Ten Things I Hate About You”. Others, God bless them, have read the entire canon, sonnets and all inside and out. For each of these segments of the population, we offer our work.
In this, the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s passing, we are thrilled to be going on this journey. For those who don’t yet know the plays, this is a wonderful first glimpse into his work. For those of you who already love him, tonight is an intimate sharing of our mutual adoration. Why are these plays being commemorated at the 400 year mark all around the globe? Perhaps it is because Shakespeare’s work transports us to a fantastical, yet believable universe of heightened circumstance and exceptional story telling. Or perhaps it’s because of all the dirty jokes.
Either way, this all-female Fringe production is our small way of giving love to the Bard. And to honor his wish that, “so long as man can breathe or eyes can see, so long lives this,” we give you “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)”.

ABOUT ABSOLUTE THEATRE:
Absolute Theatre is the brain child of artistic director Richard Tatum and actor/producer Tracy Eliott. They opened their first production together as Absolute Theatre in 2010 with the critical smash “The Girl Who Would Be King” by Jan O’Connor, followed by 2011’s award-winning “The Insidious Impact of Anton” by David Hilder, and 2015’s Fringe production of Callie Kimball’s “MAY 39th”. They founded the company on the idea of developing new, highly theatrical plays which they could co-produce with other Los Angeles-based theatre companies. Since then they have also ventured into festival-screened short films and the micro web series “Becky and Kate: Works in Progress.” You can find out more and see video at www.AbsoluteTheatreLA.com.
