MAKIN’ A MOVIE is presented by LPNSImprov, a branch of Lauren Patrice Nadler Studios, an acting studio in LA. This unique improvised comedy format was developed by Lauren 18 years ago as a tool to help her students warm up for scene study by learning to listen, being in the moment and reacting authentically. In the spring of 2014, producer Christina Orloff and creator and director Lauren Patrice Nadler formed the first LPNSImprov group, The MaD JaCKRaTS. Before each show, the audience writes down suggestions and puts them in a bowl. Each segment of the show is a complete story based on an audience suggestion. It feels like a movie is being thought up, written, and performed right before your eyes. It’s a full-blown performance, 100% on the fly, that showcases hilarious characters, both new and recurring. No two shows are alike!

LAUREN PATRICE NADLER
Originally From NYC, Lauren planted roots in LA to further share her years of experience behind and in front of the camera. She was recognized in Studio System News as one of the “5 Directors to Discover Online.” Her LA directorial debut, El Mariachi Negro, screened in the Cultures Collide Community Film Festival in NYC. Her short film Deadgirl won Best Director in the FilmJack Film Festival and  short film One Last Shot was nominated in 6 festivals.  Other projects directed by Lauren: In My Life, Being Brielle, and The Bliss AKA Rocker. Most recently Lauren completed her comic web-series It’s You Not Me. It’s currently airing on CLICHETV.com and is an official selection in LAWEBFEST 2015. Lauren also directed many theater productions in LA including Lobby Hero, Tape, The Dreamer Examines his Pillow, and Four Dogs and a Bone. In addition to directing and acting, Lauren is a notable acting coach and teacher. She has assisted many actors in booking series regular, contract, recurring and guest star roles on TV and national commercials, as well as lead and supporting roles in film and major motion pictures. With a desire to inspire on a large scale, Lauren formed her production company Winged Warrior Entertainment.
