LEGEND OF BOBBY DARIN WINS ENCORE PRODUCERS AWARD

The Legend of Bobby Darin wins Encore Producers Award and extends for two more shows at 2015 Hollywood Fringe Festival.

LOS ANGELES – TwoBoatsWaWa made its Hollywood Fringe Festival producing debut with The Legend of Bobby Darin: An Unauthorized Autobiography. After a very successful run of sold out shows, being selected PICK OF THE FRINGE, and rave reviews, this world premiere, one-person show directed by Miles Chapman and written and performed by Cliff Todd, has won the Encore Producers Award and been extended for two more performances.

Bobby Darin was an award winning singer and actor who was also one of the highest paid performers of his day. His most popular songs, Splish Splash and Mack The Knife, have secured a place in music history and pop culture. But Bobby’s name is rarely spoken of. The Legend of Bobby Darin gives Bobby (as played by Cliff Todd) a chance to explain through stories and song why his life is important and why he believes he should be remembered.

The Hollywood Fringe Festival is an annual, open-access, community-derived event celebrating freedom of expression and collaboration in the performing arts community.

The Legend of Bobby Darin Encore performances are Friday July 10th at 7:30pm and Sunday July 12th at 2:00pm at Theatre Asylum (Asylum Lab) in Hollywood. Running time is 60 minutes with no intermission.
