PSITTACUS PRODUCTIONS announces West Coast premier of “A TALE TOLD BY AN IDIOT” at Lounge Theater, Hollywood Fringe Festival

LOS ANGELES, CA, June 3, 2010 – Psittacus Productions, a new nonprofit theater and multimedia company, located in the Highland Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, is proud to announce that “A TALE TOLD BY AN IDIOT,” their premier production, will be presented at The Lounge Theatre in Hollywood in conjunction with the first annual Hollywood Fringe Festival, June 18th to 20th, starring Daryl Crittenden from NBC’s HEROES, and New York stage actress Lisa Carter “As newcomers to Los Angeles’s vibrant theater community, we’re ecstatic to be doing this show at this important new festival,” Managing Director Chas LiBretto said.

Also comprised of former New York theater artists Louis Butelli and Robert Richmond, Psittacus Productions exists to create innovative theater art to share with its community, investigating the ways in which modern life and new media affect the act of storytelling, and connecting with students to share a sincere passion for the medium.

“A TALE TOLD BY AN IDIOT” is a fast-paced, kung-fu, comic-book reimagining of Shakespeare’s “MACBETH,” featuring an original techno-score and explores the performative nature of terrorism.
