“SIN: A POP OPERA” A NEW SUNG-THROUGH MUSICAL BY S. CLAUS

Sin, A Pop Opera

view project

Following on the successful run of “Ecstasy The Musical” in 2009 and sold-out “sing through” at Skinny’s bar in North Hollywood in 2010, author, artist and animator S. Claus’ (Disney, DreamWorks, Rhythm And Hues) new concoction “Sin: A Pop Opera” is set to “possess” the hearts and minds of Fringe Fest fans and the public June 2015.
In “Sin: A Pop Opera” the devil, a sexy and world-weary woman separated from her ex-husband God, connives and plots to get a burnt-out Hollywood music producer and innocent pop-star wannabe together to prove to the world who the real “sinner” is. Told entirely in song, this sexy, dark and lively pop/rock opera is packed with catchy, driving music in a variety of pop/rock/dance styles performed by four amazing vocalists and two sexy dancers for an evening of “sin”-ful fun.
“Sin: A Pop Opera” stars establishes vocal dynamos Saudia Mills (Urban Soul Radio) Chris Robert Smith (TV’s “The Young And The Restless” and “Big Bang Theory”), opera’s Rich Brunner and new rising talent Sarah Kennedy. Also included are talented dancers Natalie Williams and Kirby Harrell as a wickedly sly “Greek chorus.”
“Sin” premieres Thursday June 4th at legendary speakeasy-style Three Clubs in Hollywood (1123 Vine St. at Santa Monica Boulevard and Vine) and continues with four more performances, June 12 at 5:30 pm, June 23 at 7pm, June 26 at 8pm and June 28 at 9pm. Tickets are $10 general admission with discounts to Fringe Fest friends and other specials (details tba). Tickets are available at the Fringe Fest website project page for “Sin: A Pop Opera” which includes videos, links and other information: http://www.hollywoodfringe.org/projects/2213?tab=details
