Snow White the Musical takes The Hollywood Fringe by storm!
With very limited seats still available, The Smiley Face and The Frown’s hit children’s musical returns to Los Angeles and will play to sold out houses.
Hollywood, CA. – May. 27, 2014 – As the anticipated Hollywood Fringe theater festival approaches with over two hundred shows being produced, Snow White the Musical is selling at a very quick rate: so fast that the show is almost sold out and previews have not even began. The show had the same success when it came over from Iceland in 2012 for its American debut at Vista Hermosa Amphitheater. The original children’s musical by Anna Bergljot Thorarensen and adapted by The Frown Entertainment Group was so popular in 2012 that the company had to extend the show from a four week run to a sixteen week run.
Based on the original Grimm’s Fairy-tale, Snow White and friends take the stage in a hilarious adventure where danger lurks around every corner. The Evil Queen is throwing a tantrum over not being named the fairest in the land and takes to the forest with her trusty mirror in search of Snow White. Snow White’s heroic best friend (and servant to the palace), Henry, joins forces with a misfit group of dwarves in an effort to keep Snow White from harm’s way. Puppetry, acrobatics, song, and dance breathes new life into one of our most cherished stories of all time. Everyone becomes part of the show in this remarkable tale that is fun for the whole family.

The Smiley Face and The Frown Entertainment Group along with The Cupcake Theater is currently producing Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues which has sold out every performance since February of 2014 and has now been extended until August of 2014. The duo is also responsible for producing Jason Robert Brown’s popular musical The Last Five Years for the 2014 Hollywood Fringe Festival which is also showing promise of a sold out run.
